I would like to suggest that the backing be a stiffer material.

Needed these for our 8 conservatory table chairs which had small, circular plastic feet fitted. These constantly got caught in the grouting between the floor tiles especially when sitting on them and dragging towards the table - even causing one of the legs to break off! This was later found to be partly due to a construction fault using knotty timber.
These new slides are much larger, more “slidey” and glide over the joints with ease! Easy to fit and highly durable!

These work well on our floor, which is a soft vinyl. I specifically wanted the screw fixed furniture glides, hence buying these ones. Despite the metal insert moulded into the glide, which the screw tightens onto, I also used contact adhesive to try to ensure the glide won't be easily prised away at the edges. It might be overkill but, if the glide breaks off, it would leave a bare screw head, which would damage the floor.

Arrived and fitted ok. However, not as sippery as I hoped.

Hi, these gliders are excellent. On hard floors they do as the box says but on carpets not so well, but they do protect the carpets from sharp edges on chairs. I am well pleased, would recommend.

Sliders work well and as expected - seem good enough for the price,. The screws are quite soft so suggest screwing in by hand to avoid rounding out the head if using electric driver. Also make it easier if you drill small pilot holes too.

I purchased these items and for the first few days they seemed fine but now I am worried they are damaging my Lino floor. I did ask prior to buying if they were ok for this type of floor and was assured they were but I am not really happy with how they are performing. Intend going back to felt ones!

Excellent product. Chairs slide smoothly on floor and are securely attached. More robust than nail on type. Highly recommended.
